My family definitely had the best time with Captain Tanner!! This was an experience they will never forget. He is very knowledgeable and was great helping my 12 yr old. Definitely recommend!

This was everyone in our groups first time ever going charter fishing and we all had such a blast, even with all the rocking back and forth! Captain Tanner is so nice and very easy to work with. We will absolutely be booking with him again our next trip down to Destin and will recommend him to anybody we know that is interested in charter fishing.

Tanner was so patient and encouraging with my boys, who had never been on a fishing trip before. He made the trip very much worth it and I can’t say thank you enough. This was the one thing my boys really wanted to do and to get an awesome captain who knew so much and really explain everything to my boys, meant a lot. He had a great personality. Although I got so sick, he carried on to make sure this was a memorable trip for my kids. Thank you so much Tanner, we will be back for sure and book you again!

Our family had an amazing time with Capt. Tanner. The captain made sure we didn’t leave without a great time and plenty of fish to bring home. We we’re able to catch trigger fish and several Mahi-mahi and even a small shark on our 4 hour trip. Captain Tanner and his partner stayed busy baiting and casting all we had to do was reel in the fish. Captain Tanner was very professional, knowledgeable and full of high energy. Honest to God as long as Capt. Tanner is available I will choose him over any other carter any day of the week. Thanks Captain for making this trip special for me and my family.

We all had a great time on our fishing trip! Tanner, the captain of our boat, caught trigger fish and red snapper that we were able to keep as well. He not only helped us catch the fish, but taught us about them as well. I think we will always remember how remora hold onto sharks!! He responded great when a member of the group got seasick. We would definitely go out with Capt Tanner again!

We had a wonderful day, on the way home we came across a buoy with fish swimming around it. We were able to catch Mahi after Mahi until we reached our limit. We then moved on to some red snapper the rest of the morning. My son got a little queasy on the trip and captain Tanner had some stuff on hand that helped him get back to fishing quickly. My son had a blast and we plan on coming back.

Captain Tanner will take you fishing in his boat, and the half-day trip was so successful that even my teenage daughters caught fish—so many fish, in fact, that they surrendered to the task of reeling them all in. Caught tons of Triggerfish and White Grunt as well as Mingo, Red Snapper and Amber Jack. Saw a dolphin as well. The thing about Tanner is that he likes fishing, but loves catching. You will not have to sit on a spot long without hooking something before he moves to make sure he puts you on fish. His exceptional local knowledge combined with great equipment is a recipe for an awesome time. Aside from the fishing, Tanner is very safety conscious and has everything you need to have a fun, safe experience. Really personable and helpful as well. Count me in as a repeat customer.

Captain Tanner and Dustin were wonderful guides. They knew the area well and helped us have a great day on the water. We caught Snapper, Mahi, trigger fish, and a Cobia. Saw dolphins, a sea turtle, and sharks too so there was something for everyone. Will be going out with them again in the near future.

Our son enjoyed his first fishing trip, during which we caught a large number of fish. We caught many types of fish including grouper, trigger fish, red snapper, black snapper, and more. Although at this time only a few were in season we still had a blast and went home with fish. Our captain was so fun and friendly and didn’t waste anytime if the fish weren’t biting. He told us fun facts about the area and fish and was so helpful. Also his deck man was awesome as well. We will book this trip with them again when we come back. We highly recommend this captain/trip

Capt. Tanner was an excellent guide and we had a blast fishing with him! My wife is an inexperienced fisher, and Capt. Tanner helped her feel relaxed and ensured she and I both enjoyed all of the perks of fishing without having to worry about the downsides. Capt. Tanner was personable and knowledgeable; he’s friendly and very welcoming. We had a blast catching red snappers, black snappers, and triggerfish. We had such a good time being on the water that it would have been worth the money even if we didn’t catch anything, but we’re grateful Capt. Tanner was able to find a great fishing spot for us! 5 stars, we highly recommend Destin Gills for Thrills, and we will be booking another charter with him the next time we are in Destin!
